There are many castles in the area including Lindisfarne, Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh, Ayton all with wonderful stories to tell. The beaches run from Berwick to Craster and link together starting with Cocklawburn, Goswick, Ross, Bamburgh, Beadnell, Low Newton to name but a few. All beaches are dog friendly as are most pubs and cafes. Local Golf courses Goswick and Bamburgh and regular boat trips to Farne Islands from Seahouses. The area has a Dark Sky award and is perfect for star gazing and commands very special sunrises and sunsets. Music lovers check out the Lindisfarne Festival and the many concerts to be held this year at Alnwick Castle.
